storytelling is my work. nature is my teacher.
i find ease and fluidity are an important part of how i exist in this world. it allows me to be connected to the life surrounding me & to notice the details. i’ve always loved noticing the details, even when i was little. i am interested in the magic found in the practice of presence - existing in slow space, weaving between tangible and intangible creative mediums. noticing what comes to the surface, into conscious thought. feeling the pull to express an emotion through some outlet, somehow. sometimes it’s the way the sunlight is hitting the trees just right, or the meditative state of driving down a familiar road that puts me in touch with that spirit-voice. all of my practices, mediums, are like a way for me to swim with that spirit. i am an artist who has spent most of my life creating behind closed doors. my private creative life is the most sacred to me. yet, i feel increasingly pulled towards collaboration and community-based creativity.

to be more clear about who i am, here’s what i believe:
i believe queerness is delicious and holy. i believe indigenous wisdom is more sacred than the KJV. i believe in resisting the empire. i believe in reparations for all those affected by white supremacist colonization. i believe in a free palestine. i believe in asking the questions you seemingly aren’t supposed to ask. i believe in a future where we live in harmony with each other and the earth. i believe simple and small acts of care, empathy & solidarity mean more than we realize. i believe community interdependence is the most valuable tool we have. i believe healing the world begins with self-honesty, curiosity, and relational repair. i believe death and grief must be acknowledged, revered, and ritualized, as a way to be with what is really happening now. i believe art can be a vehicle for alchemizing pain into beauty and connection.
